Sisters in Oregon, is a lovely town known for its natural beauty, outdoor recreation, but you can treat yourself to some shopping experiences, as well. As a disclaimer, like the rest of this site, information provided below is meant to be used as a guiding resource. We do not have any affiliation with any of these companies and this list might not be complete or current.
Here are some of the well known shopping spots along with some additional info:
1. The Gallimaufry (141 E Main Ave): Is a unique gift shop (and liquor store) that specializes in handcrafted and one-of-a-kind items, such as jewelry, pottery, candles, and more. From their website, they offer a large variety of gifts, in addition to our wide selection of spirits, beer and wine They also have a wide selection of greeting cards and stationery.
2. Paulina Springs Books (252 W Hood Ave):This is an independent bookstore that offers a wide selection of new and used books, bestsellers, local interest titles, and children’s books. They also host author events and book clubs and last time we checked their website, also offer delivery.
3. Stitchin’ Post (311 W Cascade Ave): Quilt shop that brings to you a wide selection of fabrics, patterns, and quilting supplies. If after visiting the Quilt Festival you want to learn more, they also teach classes and workshops for quilters of all skill levels. Also offer free shipping for orders over $ 100 (when we last checked their website, please confirm)
4. Cowgirl Cash (171 W Cascade Ave): This boutique specializes in vintage and retro clothing and accessories, including cowboy boots, hats, and belts. They also showcase and sell a selection of locally made jewelry and home decor items. We could not find them online, so please check before you visit.
5. Sisters Meat and Smokehouse (110 S Spruce St): Lookin for a local meat shop and Smokehouse ? This specialty meat shop that offers a wide selection of locally sourced meats, including beef, pork, and poultry, as well as smoked meats, sausages, and jerky. They now have two locations.
6. Cascade Cottons (107 W Cascade Ave): Giving the town’s traditions and the love for the handmade, it comes with no surprise that you find several fabric and quilting stores that bring you a wide selection of fabrics, including batiks, flannels, and novelties. They also have quilting supplies and classes.
7. The Hen’s Tooth (160 S Fir St): After visiting Sisters, you can not really go back home empty handed ! This gift shop specializes in unique and handmade items, including pottery, jewelry, and home decor. They also have a selection of children’s toys and books.
8. Cascade Village Shopping Center (63455 N Highway 97, Bend): Their tagline – Shop, Dine and Unwind seems to sum it up nicely. Like any other modern city, Bend (just outside of Sisters) counts with a large shopping center. The convenience and comfort of having a wide selection of stores, restaurants and even a movie theater all in one place. You can find major retailers like Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Best Buy, among others. We are linking their store directory for your convenience.
9. Hood Avenue Art (357 W Hood Ave): This artists owned art gallery features the work of local artists, including paintings, sculpture, and photography. They also offer art classes and workshops.
10. Sisters Olive and Nut Company (211 E Cascade Ave): Sometimes there is nothing better than treating yourself or your loved ones with a specialty food. The store offers a wide selection of olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and nuts. They also have a selection of gourmet foods, including chocolates and sauces and their offering includes variety of flavored Almonds, Pistachios, Cashews, and the renowned Oregon Hazelnuts.
